Last year (2019) we presented at the Jornadas de Iustitia et Iure on the relevance of symbolic discourse in the field of religion. This relevance is given by the disproportion between divine reality and human realities, by the processes of linking these two realities and by the interpretation required by the linking processes, since it is done through symbol. Poetics is one of the forms of symbolic rationality that does not allow itself to be fully contained in the conceptual sphere and in the Eucharistic poetry, Saint Thomas manifests a symbolic rationality in relation to faith, different from his theological work of discursive rationality and that it constitutes a higher wisdom: that of the encounter with the Beloved.
