This work presents a brief exegesis on the notion of science proposed by Thomas Aquinas in S.Th., II-II, q. 9. This analysis will also focus on Aquinas’s premises in S.Th., I-II, q. 57, the thirtyfifth distinction on the third book of Peter Lombard´s Commentary to the Sentences, and chapter six in Aristotle’s commentary in The Nicomachean Ethics. Furthermore, the last five books of St. Augustine´s De Trinitate are taken into account.
