Abstract

St. Justin is usually considered one of the first representatives of Patristics that made a Christian reception of Platonism. The founder of the Academy‘s thought that reached St. Justin had been mediated by the transformations brought about the Platonics in the late antiquity, now known as middle-Platonics. This research attempts to inquire about the way St. Justin incorporates the Platonism of his time into the elaboration of his doctrine about God concerning both the divine attributes and the speculations about the Trinity with the purpose of recognizing the outreach of this influence and evaluating the benefits and limitations that its reception implied.
