Abstract

Pedro Lombardo considered the triad: truth-immutability-simplicity of God in the eighth chapter of the first book of Sentences. The reception of this text in the XIII century was driven by the comments made by different authors, among whom Albertus Magnus stands out. This research seeks to explore Albertus Magnus’ contribution to the divine attribute of simplicity and point out some similarities and differences with the contributions of Bonaventure and Thomas Aquinas.
