Abstract

We set to examine the conceptualization present in the exposition of the notion of good by Albertus Magnus, is so far as this itinerary allows us to determine the instances of its problematic. Indeed, from his early work De Natura Boni, to the De Bono treatise, part of Summa Creatu ris, to the commentary and the questions dealing with Aristotelian Ethics, we can find a description of the notion of good in which we can find interesting problematic aspects. Such aspects account, in a way, for the doctrinal path chosen by the Expert Doc tor that incorporates in different stages of his reflection, philosophical and theological elements of Aristotelian, Avicennian, Augustinian and Dionisian origin among others. In another way, they reveal the assembling of a complex epistemic web that tends to integrate the metaphysic, moral and theological dimensions in his conceptual display.
