Abstract

The rise of the mendicant orders implied a change in the religiosity of the medieval West. Within these, the congregation started by Francisco brought this innovation to all orders of his proposal, including the legislative, endowing his group with an unprecedented way of life. His rule was also a model and example for the way of life drawn up by Clare of Assisi for the community of Sisters of San Damiano.

The objective of this work is to carry out a study on the different paths adopted by the leaders, Clara and Francisco, until reaching their final rule and to carry out a comparison in relation to disciplinary and punitive aspects. that we find in his writings.
