This article studies the female agency in the framework of the Buen Pastor de Angers Congregation in the city of Cordoba at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Through a review of the process of construction of the building in which the congregation was to carry out its tasks -novitiate and management of the Cárcel Correccional de Mujeres y Asilo de Menores del Buen Pastor- it is possible to identify several instances of agency that put the congregation in the role of protagonists of a correctional project. Arguing that the management of the correctional institution allowed the congregation a double insertion -state and religious- we analyze the use it makes of these inscriptions, putting into play the social capital that allows it, in a short time, to realize the construction of the building.
